You could literally travel the world with $200k.

If you are looking to maximize the cash value, you are doing it wrong.  If you just want money, take it to the open market.  Better yet, sit on it, and let it appreciate.  Hell by the time the 11 year old is college age, that won't pay for a decent education.

You said to take the experiences. My point is 200K can be exchanged for better experiences than what are being offered. Not complicated stuff.

Cool, then do it.  I would take the baseball experiences with my favorite team over the rest of it.

If the kid was from Pittsburgh I could understand taking the experiences. Since he's from LA, what the Pirates are offering sounds more like a hassle than anything else.

Adding to the #1 bullpen in baseball in 2024.

Quite a concept!

The Guardians actually dumped a decent reliever to make room for Sewald.

Guardians designated RHP Pedro Avila for assignment.

Avila gets the boot from Cleveland’s 40-man roster to free up a spot for veteran high-leverage relief arm Paul Sewald. The 28-year-old righty was a revelation last year for the Guardians, posting a strong 3.25 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 73/30 K/BB ratio across 74 2/3 innings (50 appearances). He’s a virtual lock to be claimed off waivers in the coming days.

Former Padre, just like Enyel de los Santos....and two now former Guardians.

Statistically...would be best Sox reliever.  Will likely work out a trade first.

MLBtraderumors questioned why no offensive upgrade and that Sewald's FB below was down significantly last season.

Also, old friend Reese McGuire signed with the Cubs.

The Yankees and Padres appear to be discussing a trade of Marcus Stoman for Arraez. But the Padres are asking for cash thrown in, which makes the trade unlikely. The Padres are also listening on trade proposals for closer Robert Suarez.

Nothing yet about Cease/King.

Braves sign Profar. Caulfield in shambles.

Probably have soured a bit on Kelenic. BOOM

Padres or Sox will get Kelenic now.

Harold will be happy at least.

SD should have signed Kepler.

5/$50 or 3/$42.5 million, that's crazy and Preller had a sense he wasn't going to be in their current price range...not unlike when JR told Buehrle to explore Blue Jays' offer.

He rejected it. They may have to offer him a year extension or something to make him waive his NTC.

Probably wants out but with a sweetener...lost closer's job last year.

Carlos Estevez one of the few other high end relief guys left remaining.

Also, Pete Alonso and Max Scherzer looking at Blue Jays...

If history says anything, it will say that this was a terrible contract the second Profar signed his name to it.

Yeah, it's a nice payday coming off a career year, but it could quickly become bad money.

Turning 32 in a month.  Which season looks like the outlier?

So bad.

Those idiots at MLBN put Acuna at #7 RFer due to 2022/24.  Pretty sure I would bet him #1 again before Profit clearing a 700 ops for the Braces for the second year in a row.

He was so bad in 2023 he almost got the Rodon 2021 $3 million contract offer.

Great bargain for one season on a team in the process of slashing almost $100 million in payroll.
