caulfield12
This is going to be typical Dodgers. No Betts Freeman Sasaki walks five and is pulled after three IP but bullpen and offense covers it all up. Amazing that Steele has done as well as he has pitching in the Drew Thorpe speed zone. GreenSox
Dodgers win again, with a Betts walk-off. Tigers roughed up Tanner Scott (great Dodger defense minimized damage). 0-2 Tigers are tough, and remain my pick to win the AL Central. They're going to be a problem. Yeah just a little surprised the Tigers blew a 5-3 lead with their pen. Their big reward is Sasaki tmrw. https://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/article/mookie-betts-bat-still-carries-weight-as-he-hammers-2-hrs-including-a-walk-off-to-beat-tigers-and-lift-dodgers-to-4-0-053639063.html Edited March 29 by caulfield12
caulfield12
Sasaki struggled again. Didn't get out of the second inning...60+ pitches and four walks. intentionally walking Ohtani backfires... "Teoscar Hernández doubles (1) on a sharp ground ball to left fielder Riley Greene, deflected by third baseman Zach McKinstry. Michael Conforto scores. Shohei Ohtani scores" 4-2 Dodgers Tommy Edman with three homers already. Five guys with over 900 ops. First team since 1984-1985 Tigers to start following season after a WS win at 5-0 or better. caulfield12
Fifth starter Dustin May attempting to get the Dodgers to 7-0 against the Braves. Gonsolin is out/injured with a back problem. Still waiting on Kershaw and Ohtani. Not bad problems to have... caulfield12
Chadwick Tromp (what a name for a catcher!) is leading the Braves' attack...3-0 Braves over Snell, could be the Dodgers' first loss of the season, but a long long way to go in this one. Make that 5-0. Braves blow a 5-0 lead (all the runs scored due to two Max Muncy throwing errors), Muncy ties the game at 5-5 and Ohtani walks it off. Or to think it's boring to have a handful of superteams and an abundance of AAAA teams.

That's way way down from two seasons ago in Japan. Could be the infamous dead arm period. Edited April 27 by caulfield12

caulfield12
The Comet is headed to the big leagues. Infielder Hyeseong Kim, whose first name translates to "comet" in a Korean dialect, is being promoted to the Dodgers from Triple-A Oklahoma City to make his Major League debut, the club announced on Saturday. In a corresponding move, infielder/outfielder Tommy Edman was placed on the injured list with right ankle inflammation, retroactive to April 30. The Dodgers signed the 26-year-old Kim during the offseason after he spent eight seasons in the Korea Baseball Organization. Kim batted .304 or better in every season from 2021-24 and stole 20 bases in seven consecutive seasons
caulfield12
Dodgers plan to be in the mix for Chicago Cubs outfielder Kyle Tucker, who will become one of the premiere bats on the open market, reports Bob Nightengale of USA Today. The Los Angeles Dodgers plan to jump into the free-agent fray for Cubs outfielder Kyle Tucker this winter. They may not be the high bidder, but they’ll surely keep everyone honest just as they did when they were in the Juan Soto sweepstakes.
