February 19Feb 19 Quote School: Huntington Beach (Calif.) HS Committed: Uncommitted. A talented two-way player and the younger brother of Trent Grindlinger (one of the top catchers in the 2025 class now at Tennessee), Grindlinger was one of two underclassmen on the USA Baseball team that won the U-18 World Cup in Japan in Sept. 2025. On the mound, Grindlinger has touched 96 mph with more velocity still to come once he fills out his 6-foot-3, 185-pound frame. Operating from a smooth, easy delivery, Grindlinger fills the strike zone and has pitchability beyond his years. He manipulates multiple swing-and-miss secondary offerings, including a slider he can add to and subtract from with short, tight break at times and more depth at others. His changeup has good deception, and he sells it well off his fastball. Grindlinger’s ability on the mound could make him an early pick in the 2027 draft, but he’s also an outfielder/first baseman who is one of the best hitters in the 2027 class. He gets on base at a high clip with a good sense of the strike zone, an extremely accurate barrel and an all-fields approach. He also flashes over-the-fence power that’s trending up and should continue to climb as he gets stronger. Edited February 19Feb 19 by DirtySox

Ive used it for a literature search and it had articles in my name that I didn't write. Good for ideas but many other AI for specific purposes.

He could be an adequate defensive centerfielder or a strong defender in left, giving him potentially good value to just being solid defensively."

But the Contreras fb was actually pretty straight. https://prospectporch.com/players/joseph-contreras.html Interesting that the slider grades out as his best pitch and control the lowest grade, albeit unsurprising for prep pitcher at 6'4" and undergoing dramatic body changes. Typical reliever risk warning, "there's an early day one ceiling here if Contreras can continue to show improvements throughout the spring." "It may not be as polished a profile as some of the top prep right handers in this class, but Contreras's stuff is rivaled by very few." Landon Thome, Contreras...any other Sox connections? February 21Feb 21 If they’re considering Thome an outfielder, Ok. But drafting a left fielder on purpose in the second round. Eh. Edited February 21Feb 21 by Chick Mercedes

February 21Feb 21 Author Would be better to push Thome down to the third...his family already has generational wealth for all intents and purposes.
