Sucks that it turned out to be the deciding run.

August 30, 2025Aug 30 One month left in the season and there really is a high chance of the 12 playoff teams not changing. Just seeding. Kinda boring. AL- Bos at NY… winner faces Tor (so AL East playoffs) Sea at Hou…winner faces Det NL- NYM at LA…winner faces Mil SD at Chi… winner faces Phi

Speaking of the Rays: https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2025/09/braves-claim-ha-seong-kim-from-rays.html?utm_source=twitter Braves Claim Ha-Seong Kim From Rays Tampa signed him to a two-year, $29MM pact in the winter. He is making $13MM this year, with just under $2MM left to be paid out. The second year is a $16MM player option. They could've just eaten $2mil and traded him. He's probably picking up the option. He's a good player who lots of teams would want. Didn't make it very far through waivers, ATL is the 6th worst team and might expect to be good next year. Definitely don't need him this year. Orioles might be good again but their former #1 prospect is a 2B and their best player is a SS.

September 6, 2025Sep 6 This lady stealing a home run ball from a kid because she believes she is entitled to it 🙄 https://www.reddit.com/r/baseball/s/R9eosc79MT

This stuff is so weird. Like it's a ball. What are you even gonna do with it, lady? It's a cool memento for a kid although he didn't seem super impressed. There's some moment etched into my memory: a spring training game like 20 years ago, the batter fouls it up over the backstop, some kid makes a nice catch before an old man rips it out of his glove. Gramps grinned and inspected the ball, not a care in the world as everyone booed him. Look of pure joy on his face. I think we call this arrested development.

I don't think people ought to go running 15 seats over to take a ball that's right in front of somebody else. Maybe the lady was going to look for a homeless child in a wheelchair to give it to.
September 6, 2025Sep 6 Honestly she's kind of lucky the guy didn't come up swinging. You chase someone down like that and then put hands on them, you never know how people are going to react, especially if he feels his kid was threatened.

He did look genuinely startled when he realized she was right there.

Dad seems autistic honestly. Not saying that to be mean.

Not saying that to be mean. Multiple sports-bro accounts are encouraging people to dox her and reveling in how her life's gonna be hell on Monday. I wonder if any of these sports bros, when they win some big parlay, if they give that money to a child in the neighborhood. Or when they win some online sports bet with another sports bro for a steak dinner, let a child they don't know have that steak dinner.
