The best thing to ever happen to Benetti’s career was Jerry not liking him.  It turned out for the best for him.

I honestly though John sounded much better opening day, he toned down his act, sounded more professional.

I told Brooks that.

But tonight? That was not good.

It's one thing to get into a fight with the media which the organization has always considered the "enemy" but to get into it with the club's own pitching coach?

I wonder what they are thinking now and how this is going to be handled because Bannister obviously didn't appreciate the dismissive remarks.

The weird thing here is that Schiffren loves to be close or at least feel close to the players...deliberately going after something that many (especially pitchers) and Bannister and Katz obviously value is a weird way to "make friends" around the ballpark.

What a weird hill to die on.   And Getz must be shaking his head...trying to get this organization into the 21st Century and he wants to go back to the days of Moneyball/Grady Fuson.

 

 

As they say, any publicity is good publicity, and Friedman reposted comments from the White Sox broadcast, concluding, “Appreciate it. LOL.”

I just watched the game highlights on mlb. Surprised they have that feature for free. Looks like Sox played OK but the bullpen was a problem. These starting pitchers are prolly going to really excel when it gets warm out.

I'm convinced JR deliberately dumped Bennetti and hoisted Schriffen on us as a deliberate Rachel Phelpsian FU to Sox fans, in part of some nefarious scheme to devalue the Sox, from which he somehow benefits
