This is absolutely a pride piece of his life and while he is still making money I definitely believe he feels the shame of what’s happened, he just doesn’t have the motivation to do the right thing either in investment or selling I am positive Jerry feels embarrassed. But unfortunately he doesn’t feel humility, and lacks a self reflective gene. The guy still believes in himself, and seems to feel victimized by circumstances. The fool. His problem is, and always has been hubris and delusion about the quality of his stewardship. Looking at the purchase price, and the current valuation, I would think he could take great pride in his stewardship. I'm certain most of his investors are happy as well. As an owner who seemingly had a leadership position among the owners for most of the 90s and early 2000s, he could take pride in being part of the fastest rise in valuation for all teams. It just is not what fans take pride in.

But we are talking past each other

WhiteSox2023
Apparently, Jerry was scolded for his stupid Ohtani comments last year. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/mlb/columnist/bob-nightengale/2025/04/13/mlb-free-agents-lance-lynn-vladimir-guerrero/83060198007/Meanwhile, the Chicago White Sox were scolded by the Commissioner’s Office a year ago when they said they were out on Shohei Ohtani – as if someone actually believed they were going to offer $700 million.
