It’s amazing how many Red Sox fans still love the guy and are rooting for him.  It’s the exact opposite of the usual fans that don’t want to see the prospects they give up in a big trade to excel too much and make the trade look bad for them.

Because he's the closest to Pedroia and Youkilis.

Kristian Campbell is too athletically gifted to easily identify with...

Do we really need a Crochet tribute video? He was good for one year. I wish we kept him but come on

  • I love Meidroth already. He really is what Madrigal was supposed to be.

  • It's Chase Meidroth Day!!!

Why wait for a non tender when a DFA is quicker...

It makes sense to give Sosa a run at 1B.  It’s a bit too early to give up on him but Meidroth may make him positionless soon.

It was a gorgeous day in Chicago? It's 47 damn degrees Stone. That's a bit chilly for mid April.

It was in the 50s and sunny today. Took the dog for a walk and it was pretty nice in the sun.

Stone took a couple days off to get the talking points on Vargas.

Just put Sosa there everyday for now. Get rid of Vaughn when Rojas is ready. Get rid of Amaya when Ramos is ready. Or do it the other way or whatever.

Good AB by Vargas here.

I haven't lived in the upper midwest in 25 years. I'm spoiled. I've largely forgotten how much of a slow burn early spring is. I b**** about our rain and horrific dark winters but April in the PNW is pretty damn nice.

I s%*# on Vargas but that was a nice at bat.

sunny, no wind. today felt very nice...relatively speaking. I wish it was warmer.

Tired of hearing schriffen slobbering over Vargas. Dude Sucks

really nice plate appearance for miguel; if you can't hit, work a walk

It's for sure a tease. This weekend is supposed to be in the 60s and then it hangs around 50/60s for the next week or so.

"be a little more selective at the plate"

[check swings on a ball that almost hit him]

Shocked Robert didn't swing first pitch and GIDP.

None of them matter unless he's at least a 650-675 ops hitter at least...really needs to be over 700 to not be a replacement player.

Sosa playing 1st and batting third. Add another to the great line of Chicago White Sox first basemen. Thomas, Konerko, Abreu, SOSA!

They're not going to cut a $5/6 million hitter this early when it's such a long season.

Vaughn has no clue

So much for swing decisions that inning.

I guess Vaughn wasn't looking right down the middle

Nice of you to call him a hitter.

Sosa has more use than Vaugh, though they both looked clueless there...

Ha ha. This team is sooooo bad. Newcombe is one of the worst pitchers in baseball and they can’t get the ball out of the infield. Pathetic.

At least the pitch Sosa saw was a breaking ball and not a center center fastball like Vaughn watched.
