Not sure there's one really legit prospect here...and Zavala's swing changes and toe tap?

And the Knights have somehow lost 7 consecutive games...

Gelanie HR 3b. W-S up 3-0.

Braden Montgomery should move up soon. Future stud.

He might legitimately be the only one (on the position player side)...if we don't mess him up somehow along the way.

Teel or Colson continue to be the best "second" choices for that.

Hagen Smith has struck out 4 of the first 6 guys. 25 pitches/19 strikes. So that's encouraging.

From what I've seen so far, I really like Bonemer. Looks like a college guy. He's 19.

Now Teel is really in a funk.

2/2 in k's.  .190

Elko, meanwhile, couldn't be any hotter.

Nashville kind enough to score just one run every inning so far. 4-0

Zavala with 2b and 3b. W-S up 5-0.

Lucas Gordon has my attention.

6IP scoreless, 1H, 9K on 84 pitches.

What is going on with Teel?  Woof!

great bounce back start for Hagen

I say this unsarcastically - didn't they just make big deal of Fuller going to Charlotte?

And the weird thing here is he got off to a REALLY strong start to the season in his first week or so of games.

It's a lot different from what Colson has been going through, which was struggling from Game 1.

Seemed like he was mostly focused on Colson.

Knights trying to outdo the White Sox parent club...have now lost 8 consecutive games.

Nice power for Perez so far

3B, 2nd round pick of the Astros (pick #53 back in 2018 out of high school in FL), turning 26 this year...made it up for ONE major league at-bat so far in his career

Iriarte being terrible is an unfortunate development.

Wrong Perez.

Okay, Jeral Perez...over 600 at-bats, his MiLB numbers would indicate a roughly 27 HR hitter over 600 at-bats.

Based on his start to 2025, you're talking 41 at this pace, 3 every 44 at-bats.

20 years old.

Prospects TLDR: Perez is a stocky 2B/3B prospect without a ton of physical projection. Some aspects of his hit tool are good (he's short to the ball, contact is top-hand driven), while others are bad (he lacks great barrel control), and his defense is also a mixed bag.

Scouting Report. 2025. Scouting grades: Hit: 45 | Power: 50 | Run: 45 | Arm: 50 | Field: 45 | Overall: 40. After signing with the Dodgers for $397,500 out of ...

Let's hope he's the next Jose Ramirez (well, minus punching out White Sox players, lol)

How do you spend so many damn hours on this site and not know who Jeral Perez is? The Dodgers trade was bigger than Miguel Vargas. Alex Albertus is also a legit prospect. Put it in your notepad.

Because all the Dodgers posters asserted those two guys were "decent" prospects but not dynamic athletes...that they were packing in?across the board carrying tools that would translate into fWAR or bWAR at the major league level.

And that neither was going to end up a major league SS, but instead 2B/3B.

Fun capper to this nonsense: Jeral Perez hit a two run shot in the 10th to seal the game for W-S. Nice little player. Would not trade Fedde and Kopech for him alone. But that’s where we are.
