I wouldn't go that far as raking.....

Vaughn gets on a small streak which only puts him at replacement if that. Then he goes back to struggling.

He's about a broken down Jose Abreu statistically at this point...minus the bigger salary, I guess.

So disappointing, Thought he would turn into a first class hitter. But like you said, it's back to struggling.

How is Lou feeling about it?

The quote came from Dave O'Brien and Middlebrooks in the Tampa Bay series before the White Sox series. Since then, the White Sox have won 3 games against Boston in the 2 series.  O'Brien must have been embarressed by the remarks.

I’m not gonna say I’m happy to see Baltimore struggle, but, uh… yeah I totally am.

Me too. They could’ve augmented their roster with vets and more proven young players and they said no. They overvalued their core. And their successful hitting coach, now running the Sox hitting program

We were telling those posters from their forum that not every prospect would become great, that their pitching was weaker than they thought, and that they needed to use some of those prospects to acquire some premium players before the luster wore off. It's still early, of course, but they basically did none of that and are now 3 games below .500, 12th in the league in runs scored, and second worst in runs allowed by 1 to Colorado (Sox have given up 24 fewer runs than Baltimore). Our run differential is only -6 because we can't hit.

Oh yay, Meidroth needs imaging and could require an IL stint.  Knowing our luck, it will be a torn UCL and he will be out for the season.

Desperately need Josh Rojas back just to solidify the infield defensively if Meidroth is going to be out for an extended period of time...in ST, that toe issue seemed like it would be a 7-10 day thing but has stretched on for weeks and weeks now into the season.

It's his thumb, I thought.

Whoops, I meant "compared to Baltimore". They're at -20, Sox at -26.

There’s a UCL of the thumb

Recovery from a thumb ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) sprain, also known as Gamekeeper's Thumb or Skier's Thumb, can range from a few weeks to several months, depending on the severity of the injury and whether surgery is required. Minor sprains might heal within 6-8 weeks, while more severe cases requiring surgery can take 3-4 months or longer for full recovery...

According to the gamethread during the Crochet game this series, someone posted here that Middlebrooks was still talking trash??

Yes he was arrogant/condescending about beating the White Sox the entire series...
