  • I don't think that qualifies as a "slump" for Amaya.

  • What was the purpose of putting a pinch runner for Quero if you were not going to try to steal second and stay out of the double play, which, by the way, did happen. Vaughn should have been given the

  • In all seriousness Vargas' defensive improvement at third this year has been a very pleasant surprise

Just a tool

It's bad with Vaughn. I mean everybody seeing it. He's just killing them

Urias looked like Altuve there.

DFA Vaughn and bring up Elko right after this game. NOW!!!!

I'm under the impression Vaughn is one of the highest paid members on the team. I can't imagine him being DFA. Something has to be done. Elko desrves a chance. Hope its sooner rather than later.

I swear it looked like he knew it was coming

Ozzie in post game calling for Elko too.

Vaughn has a major loop in the swing....Ozzie just letting him have it... Ozzie pretty much saying enough is enough...

Had to be sitting fastball  the way he connected with it up in the zone but right down the middle. He tattooed it.

Seriously Garfien just stop....

That he did

Nice job by Urias. Leasure has a very special fastball in terms of the rise he gets on it, only a couple guys in MLB are better. He threw it at the right spot. Leasure throwing 2mph harder today than usual and had even more rise than he usually does. Urias has an astronomical swing and miss rate on high heat...but he was ready for that one and handled it. And seriously, props to him! There's a lot of guys who can look for a pitch like that and still not be able to handle it when it comes.

There's a lesson for Leasure though that everyone knew he'd be targeting that spot because he only has two pitches and he can't locate his slider well enough to want to throw it first pitch in an AB like that.

Between putting on contact play with Vaughn at third, Leasure and letting Amaya hit I'm starting to have my doubts about Venable

Was it a contact play? It wasn't from second and the infield was in.

Maybe he was covering for Vaughn, but Venable just said it was

Ready to move on from so many awful players

Seems like this would be an appropriate time to bid adieu to Vaughn

There’s plenty to call out.  What a horrible roster.

I don’t see why not.  They will have a roster crunch soon with Tauchman and Rojas and Elko isn’t getting any younger.  You already know you aren’t bringing back Vaughn for next year with a bump to his $6 million salary.

Palacios was hurt so he moved Baldwin to RF and inserted Amaya for better defense.

Could have left Baldwin at short and put spare outfielder in RF...Taylor?

Or Workman in RF?
