April 29, 2025Apr 29 Hearing that Mathias LaCombe looked strong yesterday in the last Extended Spring Training game. Topped out at 96 mph in his 3-inning outing. Could the French native & 2023 12th-round pick out of Cochise Community College in Arizona be next man up to Kannapolis?@FutureSox pic.twitter.com/iVZVonrHjZ — jeff cohen (@TripleAJeff) April 29, 2025

April 29, 2025Apr 29 Abraham Nunez HR. Would be nice if he’s a prospect. Fairly high bonus out of the DR. Paddy hitting on anyone in his last 2-3 years would be a peasant surprise.
April 30, 2025Apr 30 Hagen Smith with 6bb 7K in 4IP. It’s early, but the control has been more sophomore year than junior year from him. Stuff has been electric though, so I need to practice patience.
April 30, 2025Apr 30 Knights lit up a rehabbing Trevor Rogers, the one arm the O's decided to spend prospects on. Maybe that's why they're gun-shy now.

April 30, 2025Apr 30 Let's hope we haven't had to start worrying about Schultz/Smith/Taylor, too. Colson collapsing into a walking enigma was bad enough.

April 30, 2025Apr 30 The size of the strike zone is one of the problems with skipping levels. A year ago he was in college now he's in AA where the strike zone is half the size. He's throwing pitches that he's used to getting called strikes that are now balls. He'll get it dialed in. Just gonna need a little time to adjust.

Stuff has been electric though, so I need to practice patience. He's always had reliever risk. Out of the big 3 in Birmingham I'd take 1 Ace, 1 mid rotation, 1 late inning reliever. Still hoping for 3 aces; and man the Sox are due for some good tidings after all of this. On another matter, I assume that Caleb Freeman will be up soon. Is there any velocity to his game?
