I don't know if having a great outing potentially being ruined by a 30 year old journeyman is great for anyone, there surely has to be a deal for like an alexis diaz that requires nothing? Can we not acquire a flamethrower like Santos that we initially traded? I always liked that one guy whose name i forgot. I just need a 102 thrower to solve my entertainment if not the team. edit: this is response into seemingly lethargic and terrible old 20 year olds with no upside as relievers. A lot of teams are blowing late leads. Every time I watch the D'Backs they pull a White Sox.

I have no optimism for the organization............I hate to piss on y'all's parade but expect a lot of rinse and repeat with Getz then Reinsdorf when it comes to paying players. Odd though paying Vaughn and Clevinger. We be habitual losing small market fans. yes well we can't all just move to arizona

wegner
4-4 record in the last 8 games might be the best stretch of baseball by the White Sox in the last 2 years....a bit sad but probably true.

They had a stretch in May when they went 8-4 last year, of which the last two games were shutout wins Edited May 3 by 46DidIt

Folks I have to say the Sox have improved a ton. Some of these young hitters are hitterish. Look when Quero plays with Meidroth those are two guys who can hit out of 9. Beni is good. Robert now is finally emerging as a stud. The defense is dandy. The pitching which I figured would be torched nightly is the team weakness but doing pretty good. The White Sox have risen folks. No need monitoring all time losses any more. This team is getting close to decent. Look at how many games the Sox have scored in early compared to last year. Hate to say it or maybe somebody will be proud to say it: Getz and his revamped coaching staff and front office staff may be in Chicago a long, long time. They appear to have a clue. They still scouted those players and identified them as something as they wanted for their vision. Most of the Dodgers are not home grown. I don't care how they come in, as long as they come in and are successful.

That's a pretty good place to build from. That's what I was trying to say. Last year with that old guy at shortstop and Moncada at third and those lousy catchers, etc, it was a wretched team. This team I see some players who look good like u said. On the abysmal scale the only part of the team that concerns me might be the pitching staff full of no names and average guys at best. However, our manager is doing a nice job of when to insert them and yanke them out of games. As much as I hate watching the parade of pitchers and I still don't watch as I have no mlb.com anymore, it is keeping us in games. The Sox have risen with the new manager and Getz. I actually cancelled MLV.com after the season, but weakened one hour before the opening day game. Yeah, I know...weak. They have been mildly entertaining despite Jerry. Getz has focused on building the foundation of the coaching staff and pitching/hitting development, manager, etc. Adding the new players has put life into the otherwise dead lineup. A new ownership with an open wallet could fix this mess fairly rapidly, IMO.
