PaleAleSox
Seems like fodder, but I'll always hope that when the Sox bring in a pitcher they change a thing or two and it starts working.
Quin
I have 0 opinion on McKendry, but when was the last time an agent broke a trade?

Jake
They need some starting pitcher depth in AAA. Seems like the kid has been okay at that level, but basically no upside for MLB besides someone who might be able to make a start or two without completely melting down. He has a nice history of low walk rates with the Rays. The Brewers traded former top 30 (in the game) catching prospect Alex Jackson for him at the 2023 TDL. (Jackson was no more than minor league depth at that point in his career.)

Bob Sacamano
I've never even heard of him. Did get we get back another player or cash considerations or what? Edit: oops, read this wrong initially as that we traded him. Edited May 5 by Bob Sacamano

caulfield12
In another bit of Brewers news, McCalvy reports that they have traded minor league right-hander Evan McKendry to the White Sox in exchange for cash considerations. McKendry, 27, was originally drafted by the Rays in 2019. The Brewers acquired him at the deadline in 2023 in return for catcher Alex Jackson. The righty has a 5.23 ERA and a 5.15 FIP in 36 games (19 starts) and 139 1/3 innings at Triple-A since joining the Brewers organization. mlbtraderumors.com Edited May 5 by caulfield12
