Fine with Brooks going down, but my god hurry up Tauchman so Palicios will go away.

Absolutely not.  Dude is 32.5 years old and has no control left.

He is ultimately going to be a utility guy. He has just been playing outfield way too much. Needs work out there, and let him go mash in Charlotte for a month or two.

Yeah he can at least play every day there.

He definitely didn't come across as ready.  That's OK, let him get his ABs.

So  much  for our youth movement.

He was killing this team defensively

I like the idea of him more than what he’s actually been.  Still has potential but needs a lot of work.

Yeah a youth movement requires youth who will be long term starters.  Baldwin could be a guy who helps a team, but I don't think he is a guy worth building around.  He seems like even if he is a starter somewhere, he would be a guy you are trying to upgrade over.  Utility guy seems like a solid ceiling.  For a team like this one, that has value and would be a positive development, but when you talk about the future of the White Sox, Baldwin is not a guy who you are penciling in somewhere long term.

There are a lot of roster decisions coming up that are going to be very interesting to see how its handled. I would imagine Teel is going to be up her sooner rather than later, not really much more he needs to do down in AAA.

On a good team he has a role as a super utility guy assuming he can improve his OF defense a bit. Anyways yea way too many words written about a fringe roster type.

That's what I see when I squint.  I know it is the fashion to turn every slap hitting utility guy into the next Kwan or Arraez, but I don't see that kind of a hit tool here.

I definitely agree with this, he's not a high upside guy, but he already here so why don't you fire Polacios into the sun since Slater is back and use Baldwin more in that utility IF role? It's not like we need to be saving him or anything.

Its because they for whatever reason signed ML deals to guys like Tauchman, Taylor, and Slater who they are going to stick with and the younger guys are the ones getting sent packing.

I'm surprised Slater was back before Tauchman.  Hopefully he's back soon so Palacios can be jettisoned elsewhere.  Baldwin should play everyday in Charlotte and allow him to get better...hopefully.

Rojas is the one now blocking playing time on the infield for both Sosa and Baldwin.

In general, they don't learn if they aren't playing so I fully get that idea.  In this case, Baldwin has essentially skipped AAA, and hasn't really done anything positive at the MLB level.  If he is just going to ride the bench here anyway, I think he can still learn in AAA as well.  Dude has a grand total of 35 PAs in AAA, and 319 at AA.

Same here rather get him constant ABs. next will be Palacios. I think Korey Lee goes to Charlotte too. Now it's who goes when Benentendi returns. Probably Capra

I don't know I have a feeling Elko goes back down.

We do love to play players who we are about to send down/release, so it checks out that Elko isn't long for Chicago.

Doesn't make any sense to hit Palacios fifth and Elko last if you're trying to get a good look at him...and (yet again) they aren't going to be able to decide on Sosa for another year lol.

Finally, Capra on the roster does what?

Backup middle infielder, but Amaya served that role. So does Rojas I guess.

Rojas is really blocking Sosa and Baldwin...who definitely should be playing everyday and working on his defense as well in CHLT.

Capra just pointlessly replaced Baldwin.

And then you have the Benintendi Tauchman Slater Taylor veteran outfield of playing time pointlessness as well.

SIGH.

Adrian Houser might lower that average age lol.

Rojas is hardly going to play third...his best near GG caliber position.  Blocks Sosa at second and Meidroth is SS for now.

Ofc we continue to trot Vaughn out there every single game.  Think he's sat just once recently.

Probably something dumb like wanting to let Rojas play against his former team.
