caulfield12
.660 ops Is that good enough for Sosa, accounting for not being a great runner, being a below average fielder and then fundamentals/baseball IQ issues from time to time? Really think you need to be in that 675-725 OPS range to not be a 0-1.0 fWAR type of contributor with his overall profile. There's just not ONE skill on the baseball field that he really excels at, or one tool that can carry him on the defensive and base paths side of things. chitownsportsfan
nice play and smart to jog it over halfway. too many times a green pitcher will throw that one away from by the mound.
caulfield12
Elko is 4/24 on the season, but still has a higher OPS than Palacios Vaughn Robert and Rojas, lol. Ofc, his days are numbered anyway with Tauchman and Benintendi coming back soon. Hopefully Palacios is also sent down, or they DFA Capra, as it's not like anyone in baseball will claim him anyway. Ozzie for Manager
If vaughn keeps it up he could be below .200 OBP and Martin Maldonado territory for OPS

chitownsportsfan
if they are playing rojas every day it sure as hell better end if he doesn't heat up by mid june. you're not flipping this dumpster dive for anything more than a c+ level guy even if he starts hitting. caulfield12
If Meidroth could add 20-25, even 30 steals per season...that would be HUGE for him to make up for some of his power deficit as a hitter.
