No sense in bringing up young arms that may not be ready just to have them get obliterated. Let the Altavillas of the world take the beatings. Now, paying a schlub $1 million (after he was released from the Sox minor league camp this year) is strange.

Again, if there were an abundant near mlb ready players, Hahn would still be here. It takes more than 1 year to develop players, especially if they draft high school players.

Sounds like both Hahn and that guy must’ve failed miserably to not have any near MLB ready players right now.
