CWSpalehoseCWS
I was completely convinced he was set for TJ. If he manages to come back without any setbacks that would be a surprising development to me.
Jake
My suspicion is that once he gets up near full speed he will have to shut back down due to pain or poor recovery. Just my hunch; many guys successfully rehab through these things (at least for a while) but I took his loss of velocity this season as a dark sign when coupled with the pain showing up later. Its always possible. Conservative treatment doesn't always work. Edited July 20 by ptatc

Timmy U
I suspect a lot of people associated with the Sox are “not far from rehab.” 2

vilehoopster
If Perez is okay and can go and be decent, that is a big step toward us Sox fans never having to see Clevenger or Thor this season. So . . . let's go Martin!! With that said, I would be very intrigued and in favor of the Sox resigning Fedde. Has anyone heard anything about him lately? What his status is?

Braves traded for him (they need bodies at this point) with Cardinals paying basically remainder of salary. Flexen is another who just got DFA'd who helped soak up some innings last year. He gave up 2 earned runs in May and June then 13 in July alone, in half the innings. I think he'll land somewhere, he can definitely 'eat innings'. For some reason a baseball team is paying Kyle Freeland 16 million dollars to be Chris Flexen, so why not pay Chris Flexen $750k to be himself? Really too bad, he was good trade fodder and an easy guy to root for; he also seems like a guy who could stick around next season. Like another poster said, he sure beats Clevinger on vibes alone but also beats out any of the AAAA pitching depth. He could definitely start on a good team (presuming he continues to pitch at a ~4ish ERA into his mid-30s).
