Yeah, I love his bat, but doesn’t really have a position going forward, unless they stick with Colson at 3B and Chase at SS. But Vargas should still get most of the reps at 3B rather than 1B.

Robert continues to get at least a hit a game. Has he finally turned the corner? Sox could be the story of the second half. Is the new manager the reason for the success of late? Is he another Ricky R in terms of giving players a boost?

Slater has gotten way too many ABs against RHP.  He has destroyed lefties like we hoped he would, but the overall numbers are brought down due to his struggles against RHP.  I get some ABs against righted is inevitable, but it’s shouldn’t be close to 50% of his total.

Sosa needs to work on getting more range in the offseason.

At the game. Vargas has had some really nice at bats. And civale definitely had good life on the cutter. Fun day. Crowd did not like me on the back to back 1st 😂

He's hitting lefty sinkers well for one so it's not like he's completely unable to hit their velocity. He's also hitting right-handed four seamers well. Some guys end up with reverse splits but it's really unusual for reverse splits to happen because a guy can't hit a straight fastball against oppo-handed pitchers even though he can against same-handed ones.
