This probably just proves that Osik’s comments were accurate.  This is likely still just a fluke hot streak, but perhaps Vaughn didn’t take things seriously until the Sox sent him down to AAA and traded him for a mediocre pitcher.

If Vaughn gets his career together its an indictment of both him and Chicago imo. But I don't think he's anything more than a 1.5 WAR player next year, and he'll be deep into arb so barely even worth it best case.

It will be a horrifying result.  What do the Sox need most right now?  A power hitting 1B.
