I’m sure he already has his return flight to Charlotte scheduled.

Hopefully it isn't American Airlines where they cancel your flight while you're sitting on the tarmac despite knowing well in advance that Chicago is going to be a stormy, flooded mess...then they string you along for an hour...oh maybe you can go to Midway...while you sit at the airport bar drinking $15 high lifes watching Logan Gilbert get shelled.

Or something like that.

in other news, this one seems like a good replay to watch. too bad we're not seeing Fedde this series, go off for 20 runs.

Which inning for first "competitive/professional" at bat comment from Beckham?

Poor Gordon had very few good at bats. He was the definition of utility player. No bat.

Good prediction by the poster about Sox scoring runs. He hit the nail on the head. Hope he bet the house baby.

Sosa is this generations version of Dick Stuart (aka Dr. Strangeglove) Look him up kids.

Good hitter absolutely brutal fielder back in the day.

I remember him like it was yesterday.
Marvelous Marv Throneberry of the Mets from the same era was another one, he wasn’t as good of a hitter as Stuart but he was the face of those early days of the Mets, not because he was good but because he was bad and fit right with those horrible Mets. As Casey said; can’t anybody here play this game. The same thing could have been said of the 2024 White Sox.
