The problem is that neither will be a part of the next competitive Sox team. Tauchman will be around for next season and Benintendi will be around for the next two seasons.

Wait until you see what happens this off season when JR tells Getz that because of the upcoming labor situation you'll basically get nothing payroll wise and like it.

To be honest, I don't trust Getzy to pick the right free agents no matter how much "unprecedented financial flexibility" he might or might not have. 1

Lip Man 1
0 for the season against Baltimore this year. Lost all six games played. 25th time this year the Sox held an opponent to three runs or less yet lost the game because of little to no offense. Six straight losses, four to go to hit 100 for the third straight season. That's never before happened in the 125 year history of the franchise. wegner
This team is no where near being competitive so I do not want any free agents to be brought in on the offensive side that will take away from the young guys that need to play to see what we have. But the pitching? Damn, they need a lot of help.

All you are going to get are has been's, cast offs, injury prone guy, retreads and stiffs. That's the White Sox way and will stay that way until the stain of JR no longer infects the franchise.
