He put up 17 this year in Charlotte. Granted - it is Charlotte.

He always had moderate power. I'm surprised he could never get the hit tool firing here.

They don't want to give the bullpen a chance to blow this one.

They will need more.

Even my wife as she walked by the TV said how can you listen to this s%*# as Schriffen was singing the Nationwide song. She was a big Harry Caray fan.

I caught a '97 Cubs game randomly on Youtube while couch locked from some good gummies. Caray was awful at the end of his career but it was still a fun broadcast. Also got to see Sandberg and regular-sized Sosa before he got on the good stuff.

they probably should have paid the White Sox' price for Houser and Robert.

Nice to see the Sox are gonna carry over actual legitimate major leaguers into next year. Smith, Teel, Vargas, Montgomery, Meidroth, Sosa, Baldwin, Quero, Taylor, Vasil, Leasure all seem like legit players. That’s a lot better than where they were at last year.

We never watched Cubs games when Harry was doing their games.
I watched tons of Cub games during the Brickhouse years, of course always pulling for the team playing the Cubs. As a kid and starting to ride the L at 11 years old I probably saw 20 games at Wrigley with my boyhood chums before we finally made it to Comiskey in 1960 when we were 14.
