They Believe In Themselves.

Featured Replies

I've noticed that the White Sox are putting out  ads with the theme "They Believe In Themselves".  I can't help but wonder if this is how they are going to promote the 2026 season ad campaign. I thought hey had a very successful 2025   promotion/giveaway season. It will be interesting  to see what their promotion/giveaway schedule will be for 2026.

Out of the playoff race before 6/1/26 !   White Sox where poor to mediocre is the normal !!

This motto probably doesn't work very well for diehard Sox fans in the wake of another 100+ loss season IMO.

Maybe more of Gen Z thing.

Team needs to add 3 starters before I starting thinking they’re good. Burke, Martin, and Cannon are more “first man up” when there are injuries to a rotation. Not penciled into 60% of the rotation.

Every baseball team can make that claim

This reminds me of when fat girls believe they are beautiful.

"self esteem" is Gen X coded. 1980s through and through.

The Gen Z motto would just be nihilistic. ey bruh its only sports frfr 😭😭💦💦

2 top end and a mid-rotation guy. Not just 3 depth.

It isn't often on Soxtalk that a thread goes exactly how you would expect it to.

Thanks.

Sure, but Kershaw Sasaki Sheehan and Wrobleski blows away the Sox current rotation and none of those guys are starting in the postseason with the possible exception of Kershaw ...

That's not even counting Dustin May (traded), Knack, Tony Gonsolin and Casparius.

Maybe they believe in the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy, too.

Results is what matters. I don't care about anything else unless that are total jerks

They just need a updated version of “The Kids can Play”

if this is it, so be it.  It’s a little silly but whatever

“These kids aren’t on tik tok all the time(but they are on a lot).  And they can play”

What day were they officially eliminated the last two years?

Opening day is also a correct answer
