Timmy U
Nice to see Hagen throwing strikes. He, Schultz, McDougal, and Oppor have way more upside than anyone the Sox would go after in FA. I am also intrigued as to whether Shane Murphy could eat innings as a number 5. Stuff is meh, but that might be 70 command. southsider2k5
I think the buried the lede. Wasn't Shultz supposed to be here and going in AFL? I don't recall seeing anyone else mention this.
kitekrazy
OT: and some still refuse to believe Tony is in an advisory role. All Fall League pitchers have control issues. So many have a 2-0 count. Some are probably experimenting with pitches,
Johno
For the Sox to take the next step forward, this young desperately needs to come through!!!

But the fact that it happened, they shut him down, he came back to pitch and the knee started bothering him a second time is concerning. Seems I remember a knee injury effectively ended Lance Lynn's career.

They attributed it to the fact that he grew some. Its tendonitis not shoulder reconsturction.

Doesn't mean it isn't concerning and given the track record of the Sox medical, training and conditioning staffs over the past several years, I take anything they say with a grain of salt. Legs are just important to a pitcher as the arm/shoulder. They form the base for everything that follows. If that is hurt other issues can start to take place because of trying to compensate for it.
