Saw this meme floating around Facebook/Twitter and thought it was pretty funny. 

Which table are you sitting at and why?

Table 4 for me. Would love to pound some beers with Buerhle and then get some time in with drunk Ozzie.

 

Since Jerry isn’t around, I am sitting at Table 1 to punch Tony in the face.

None of them.  Sitting at the kiddie table with Getz this offseason, as usual…

table 6 has the best vibes. there. I like how Tony is the only one drinking a beer at his table

Table 8 filled with all the Japanese players drinking Asahi...

That’s a hall of fame baseball person brother.

Sox will claim they were sitting at a table just to appear to be in the room. That's their way of doing business.

They do now have ONE sole scout now covering the entire NPB and KBO and Taiwan to boot!!!

 

That's also what tends to happen when you spend just $94.7 million per year on 2024-2026 payroll during an era when the mid market teams need to be in that $135-150 million range just to be competitive for a post season spot (unless you're as resource allocation efficient as CLE and MIL).

Not enough talent and farm system depth to cover up all the holes when you refuse to even play in the Tier B/C free agency pool.

Everything is riding on the 2026 draft...but still two 1 1/2 to 2 more rebuilding seasons at a minimum if you hit on that pick.

Who is that in the middle of table 3?  In fact, I could use help with a lot of these faces.   Some are obvious.  

I'm like Rick Hahn, I'd just be happy to get a seat at any table.

Table 7 Pope Leo

If I could sit with the Sodfather, the Pope, and Jermaine Dye sign me up!!!.....all that is missing is Don Pall.

No disrepect to Paulie, of course....I just doubt that he talks much. I would probably end up being at the end of the table with the 2 guys I don't recognize but I'd just be happy to be there.

Table 2 strictly for Uribe. I’ve heard he’s quite the character.

That is where I'm at. Having my favorite player of all time (Griffey Jr.) and Scotty Pods doesn't hurt either. But Uribe is the guy for me.
