Sox watching Emerson play small conference/school baseball isn't going to tell them much imo.

Watching HS highlights are not super interesting. Nobody even bothers posting them. But they’re out there fwiw.

Revisiting all the conventional wisdom that the Sox should be concerned about talent and team building windows for Roch to fit into, I sure hope we still aren’t that loser organization that would weight that over perhaps better available talent theoretically.

This reads like the kind of careful answer you give when you need to pretend he's not already your guy

  • This is the best news they could have received from these meetings. I do question Getz referring to it as an honor. Dude, it pretty much means your team really sucks.

  • Getz should get drunk tonight and sign an outfielder.

What was it from Nightengale’s information that is not worthy to report? If I’m a reporter sitting on information, #1, that’s gatekeeping, and #2 my editor is asking why I work here.

I do believe the part about the Sox not being Roch's preference.

Please don't mess this up and over think it...or get cute with saving on the top pick with Emerson unless you're 100% sure you can develop him properly.

And he's (Cholowsky) truthfully ultra four tool but speed is not the fifth.

In the NBA NFL or NHL the White Sox would quite likely be trading that 1-1 pick to the Dodgers for a boatload of prospects and/or draft picks.

Cholowsky stays in SoCal where he feels most at home and can leverage his growing personal brand for more endorsements.

White Sox would have an expedited path to competitiveness.

Dodgers would have their Betts replacement at SS.

You are taking one no context quote, and turning it into this. Preference is a loaded word. My preference would be to have an owner who was willing to spend money on a real MLB contract, but that isn't going to make it happen. It also said nothing about not wanting to play for the White Sox, nor did it say anything about refusing to play for the White Sox. If he is any kind of a baseball fan I am sure he has a team he has a team he "prefers". But getting from there to LET'S PULL OUT OFF THE BIGGEST DRAFT TRADES OF ALL TIME, is crazy.

só is being a White Sox fan in general in terms of opportunity cost for time/$$$ invested…where’s the payoff?

If you want to boil Soxdom down to an economics question, that is fully a personal utility question.

well, I guess this weekend’s attendance gave Ishbia reason not to lose hope…

Speaking of false hope, does anyone actually believe Fenway Sports Group/J.Henry is getting out of the Red Sox business due to fan base disenchantment?

It's just noise to make the White Sox relevant in the media world.

Any news if good news when no one gives you attention.

If they mess this up just another check on the list to forfeit being a fan.

How many in the organization could ever hold a job in baseball if they got dismissed.
