Where’s Not Steve Cishek when you need him?

Lee would be the most obvious guess.  Perhaps Sosa.  It did sound like Getz was still making deals.  He’s a lot more truthful about it than Hahn was.

I think he is the only one who actually seemed to have some inside info out of all these accounts like that.

Boston is the right team from what I've heard. Can't share much more than that.

They've been in the market for infield help (at 2B with Mayer at 3B) and catching. Though, I think I did read that they were prioritizing defense so not sure Sosa would actually fit the description.

Thanks James.  Not sure what the Red Sox need.  I know some SoxMachine posters through out a Quero for Abreu trade, but not sure if that makes any sense for the Red Sox.  The White Sox would be giving up a couple of years of control in that deal, but it would be a massive help to the outfield.

They have any OF prospects that are blocked? Yeah, I'm not sure how well a Quero for Abreu deal lines up but I think White Sox would have to give up something else in that deal.

Just no young-for-old trades.  Now it would be insane to do it coming off of 60 wins and unwise to do it almost anytime without a top-tier farm system – but none of that ever stopped his predecessor.
In that interview, Getz went on for a while about trusting other GMs – still naive.  Boston didn’t ripoff Getz last time, and might be out to remedy that.

Seems like that would be more of a major trade.  I think he hinted that it wasn’t that big.

He did get ripped off for Cam Booser though.  🫣

Something like Quero + Antonacci for Abreu + second piece makes a lot of sense for both sides IMO.

I’d consider that a major trade though and Jimmy claims it wouldn’t be a major deal. Though it makes sense.

Do you consider Sosa to be significant?

Most Sox fans do.  If they can do some hitting but can't catch a baseball we want them to play 1st base.  Nothing has really changed in this organization concerning that,
