I remember Hendriks voicing some frustrations on this, both with his injury status and his role on the team.

Yoendrys Gomez seems to be the de facto closer for the Twins now. He's 7/7 in saves so far and has some really good numbers since going to the Twins. I noticed he looked pretty good against us the few times he did pitch. Not sure if it's a sample size thing or the Twins fixed something. He did pretty well in a few starts last year for us before falling apart.
