Monday at 08:32 PM5 days Gavin Sheets is one of the worst players to get over 2000 PA in MLB history. In almost 5 full season's worth of playing time he has been worth 1.3 bWAR and 0.0 fWAR. His career xwOBA is .316, .319 this year. Teach your kids to hit and throw lefty I guess. And look like a ballplayer I guess. He is certainly the type of player that Billy Beane talked about as fool's gold.

Tuesday at 01:38 AM4 days Funny thing is FG faulted Boston Smith for having a "passive approach" in their post deadline write up of prospects traded. With 25 homers and that many K's and BB's...walking 23% of the time is a bad thing? What???
55 minutes ago55 min Vaughn down to 1.2 fWAR and a 136 wRC+. His xwOBA is running about 35 points lower than his actual wOBA. There's no there there. I'd expect him to be about replacement level rest of way for Brew Crew.Gonzo rocking a 90 OPS+ in Pitt. Some power, but a 250 OBP. Making a lot of outs, and he's been borderline unplayable as a SS. Replacement level in bWAR in 68 PA.He's trending towards utility guy that isn't really a backup SS. I can see why he was moved. Obviously he has development left, but the Sox traded from a position of depth in order to hopefully restock the lower minors, not the worst idea. I don't think this is Semien 2.0.
