Funny thing is FG faulted Boston Smith for having a "passive approach" in their post deadline write up of prospects traded.

With 25 homers and that many K's and BB's...walking 23% of the time is a bad thing? What???

Vaughn down to 1.2 fWAR and a 136 wRC+. His xwOBA is running about 35 points lower than his actual wOBA. There's no there there. I'd expect him to be about replacement level rest of way for Brew Crew.

Gonzo rocking a 90 OPS+ in Pitt. Some power, but a 250 OBP. Making a lot of outs, and he's been borderline unplayable as a SS. Replacement level in bWAR in 68 PA.

He's trending towards utility guy that isn't really a backup SS. I can see why he was moved. Obviously he has development left, but the Sox traded from a position of depth in order to hopefully restock the lower minors, not the worst idea. I don't think this is Semien 2.0.

I still think he will have a decent offensive MLB career and with how good he goes back on popups and his decent arm his defense is underrated. But I know I'm in the minority on this one.

Still would like to know what kind of MLB pitching we could have gotten for Jacob to help this season.

I can't wait until Jake Rogers is eligible for this thread.
