Weird lineup. Why are Quero, Vargas and Hays all on the bench the second game of the season? Because they bat right-handed I guess, but Venable is being too cute with platoons, just play the better players.

Yes, The Schriff-dawg mentioned that Venable intentionally went with this lineup to get 5 lefty bats against Patrick. Listening to a terrible announcer talk about a bad manager’s moves is really not fun.

You can play the lineup splits game when you have, ya know, a decent team. Like LAD, CHC, PHI, MIL, NYY, DET, et al. You don't necessarily have that luxury when you don't have really good players to begin with, or at least proven ones.

Also, and I am not trying to make excuses at all, but it does suck that both Teel and Baldwin are on the shelf at the moment. All teams deal with injuries, but it's even more exacerbated when you don't have much to play with after your starters get hurt.

Just gotta hold onto the anticipation of Braden, Ant, Roch, McDougal, etc I guess. But damn it sucks to keep saying "just wait until player xyz makes the roster then things will be better, when we've been saying this since basically 2017, almost 10 years, and with little to show for it. Patience runs thin when you've been essentially rebuilding for a decade.

The splits aren't that different left v right either. Definitely better vs righties but it's about 14 points.

I don't hate playing the split adv though, given that the players being replaced aren't great anyway. I'd have kept Hayes out there as Beni is disabled out there.

The current White Sox slogan is Feel The Momentum. If the team keeps losing I wonder if the slogan quietly goes away.

Have got Rays Nationals and Angels, but still pretty unlikely they even have ten wins after April.

And Angels have Murderer's Row compare to the current Sox lineup.

At least with Mazara/Eaton in RF....they were good/decent previously and had established track records.

We are just back from a Caribbean cruise so didn’t catch the first 2 games, so far things are horrible being outscored 20-3, I’m already depressed, don’t know if I can handle another 100 loss season. Hopefully they can figure things out and win today.

This team is a disaster. I couldnt watch yesterday.

They're probably hard to run accurate projections because a lot of key players are so young. They sure look like a good team who takes advantage and executes well.
