We have a thread for it.Fine, merge it.I mean there's a dedicated thread about PHing Benintendi or whatever. The Sox are quite fortunate that they possess the 1-1 pick this year or things would be even more bleak than they already are.

Wednesday at 08:10 PM3 days Author Might be Billy Carlson with that pretty high extended follow through extension.
Wednesday at 09:19 PM3 days Getz's biggest accomplishment was convincing JR he was the person for the job.
Wednesday at 09:28 PM3 days hopefully Ishbia will be sitting in the front row with a sell the team sign Edited Wednesday at 09:28 PM3 days by joejoesox
Wednesday at 09:29 PM3 days I've always wondered how i would have done as the White Sox GM if JR would have interviewed me for the job. I don't think I would have been as bad as Getz has been.
Wednesday at 09:47 PM3 days His biggest accomplishment will be if he can avoid a third straight 100+ loss season as the GM and fourth straight 100+ loss season while with the front office in some capacity (Assistant GM and GM). Edited Wednesday at 10:43 PM3 days by WhiteSox2023

Wednesday at 10:50 PM3 days Another great Getz accomplishment is being such a great company man that Jerry let him fail upwards to the GM position.

He knows he will be out of baseball just like Kenny and Hahn once Ishbia takes over and cleans house.

Obviously he knew what he was agreeing to when he made the deal with JR last year, but it must be maddening to know he might have to sit on the sidelines until as late as 2034 and watch this unacceptable level of incompetence.

The Sox sit at 28th in MLB in payroll, behind historically big spenders such as Tampa Bay, The A's, Pittsburgh, and Milwaukee. This is including the fact that Chris Getz had to beg Jerry for a special payroll addition to get Mune. If he hadn't signed, we would be dead last in baseball in spending this year. 30th.

Thursday at 12:53 PM2 days Getz traded Cease and Robert Jr and received nothing in return. Those 2 trades would get most GMs fired.

A low payroll is more important than winning games.
