4/11 3:10PM CDT Sox at Royals Fedde against Wacha

The Sox enter the contest at -.2 fWAR from position players, good for 29th. They are tied for last in wRC and 25th in defensive runs saved. But hey, we're 12th in baserunning, a whopping .7 runs above avg!

This is a really bad team what is arguably the worst in MLB for the 3rd straight year. Sorry folks, there's no sugar coating what a bad 1/10 of the season it's been so far.

Sox fans are obsessed with service time manipulation. Play your best 25, period.

Having an extra year of team control would have been meaningful for... 1 prospect the Sox have promoted in the last decade? Cease definitely fetches more in a trade had that been true for him. It woul

I was just in the car listening to the pregame and the host was raving about the continued good defense....."every night someone else is making a great play". I did not know the defense had been so good and now I see your statistics....I'm so confused.

I haven't watched much more than a few innings a day but from what I can tell it's just a average defense at best. Chase and Mune don't have much range on the right side of the IF and Quero has been pretty bad. Fangraphs loves Colson's defense, 2 runs above average already, but we just have too many mediocre guys elsewhere.

Unfortunately not just defensively.

Teel and Periera will return in a few weeks. Not soon enough.

Not sure what you mean by saying that Mune and Chase lack range. Maybe an error or two within a small sample size , but that is a limitation of relying on Fangraphs for your opinions. You have to watch the games.

Benintendi did something!

Well you can send this one to Cooperstown. Back to golf, ugh

This lineup is an absolute joke. Getz is over his head.

Konerko would have made that play

Kinda funny Stone mentioned he had a Yogi Berra/Don Larsen ball as I also have one in the collection.

Death March continues.

Meidroth at 631 second highest qualified hitter.

Bleak.

So true, still in April and the roster has imploded. The bottom 4 of this lineup is embarrassing

Yeah, looking like a utility infielder. Sad.

Unfortunately not even as good as Jerry’s favorite — David Eckstein.

League has adjusted to Colson and just pounding him inside with fastballs.

Haven't watched golf much since Tiger imploded except for majors and this McIlroy "performance" is almost impossible to take your eyes off.

Harris their best (mostly singles) hitter is something.

8 back and now will have lead through 16.

Insane. 9 shot swing now for Young even with bogey at 15.

Looking at Sox batting stats on Baseball Reference, I don’t think I’ve ever seen such ineptitude.
