Will never understand why they wanted Hicks at his cost, as Sandlin isn’t worth that money.

Sox fans are obsessed with service time manipulation. Play your best 25, period.

Having an extra year of team control would have been meaningful for... 1 prospect the Sox have promoted in the last decade? Cease definitely fetches more in a trade had that been true for him. It woul

  • You could have a low payroll with way more talent than what he’s acquired

I think there’s still a few more days (April 15th?) to play the service time game with him.

You sure? I thought I hear the futuresox guys say it had passed.

Interesting. I kept hearing April 15th. Hopefully, I’m mistaken.

At least they lose quickly.

so I guess this is what we would call competitive?

Losing almost 100 games 2 runs or less isn't

As bad as chase is he has the 3rd highest BA in the lineup today. At .208.

How is it possible to hit this bad. Pitching has let up 4 or less runs in 7 of last 8 games. They are not the problem

Terrible talent, horrible coaches

I've seen @ChiSoxFanMike and several others on twitter saying April 15th.

Imagine scoring a run. I cannot.

I thought it was 15 games into the season, but I don’t really know.

This.

Having an extra year of team control would have been meaningful for... 1 prospect the Sox have promoted in the last decade? Cease definitely fetches more in a trade had that been true for him. It wouldn't have mattered for anyone else and I'm on high Antonacci but he's not exactly Konnor Griffin.

Even for *this* organization manipulating Sam Antonacci's service time is embarrassing.

85/90% odds he's a complementary player...certainly in LF.

Back to opener tomorrow

Crazy thing is the pitching still stinks and have been pitching above their level and they still can't string some wins together. Bannister looking for back to back years having the staff perform a good bit better than skill level but talent is so bad it doesn't matter.

Memorable moment of the game: tanner Murray got a hit. Ok.

The rules are what they are and 162 is a much larger number than 15 (or whatever). Any team would want to control a player for an extra 147 games.

I found a tweet from one of the FutureSox guys confirming April 15th for the service time date

Wasting Taylor early doesn't make any difference when you're not scoring runs.

It would be just as logical to hold him out for 7-8-9 hitters and run up his stats for a porential trade.

Which is why so many top prospects made their debuts on Opening Day this year.

What is the value of building trust/commitment from young players?

Look at Jose Ramirez giving two "hometown discount" extensions...

Divorce/Applebee's or Perkins mistress.

He did give everyone that miraculous fifteenth major.
