So Schultz is just replacing Sosa on the roster?

Is Cannon officially on injured list?

It is absolutely absurd that you can see what has happened in Phoenix with his families investment in the Suns, including a WILD spending spree, and already be attempting to speak in absolute certaint

  • This isn’t sad, my friend, this is awesome!!!

The fact that there are any of you bemoaning the loss of Sosa shows you just how low the bar as been set for the Sox.

But yes, Lenyn couldn't play LF.

Broken record

A trade is with another team. Totally different.

The Sox own Antonacci, his development and his plan. No one should be able to influence that but them.

There is a reason this is one of the worst franchises in baseball, and it starts at the top. Watching people rush in to make excuses for it just continues to amaze me.

They’ll need to send a pitcher down, presumably Davitt. Thirteen pitcher maximum.

I assume Pereira will just be brought back up then to replace Sosa

Davitt was already optioned to make room for Cannon. I'm pretty sure Cannon will be sent back to Charlotte, hurt or not.

Supposedly they had that old Dodgers trade fall apart years ago based on exactly this the Kusinski kid.

Darn you, Joc Peterson!!!

The same organization is starting a catcher in RF but there’s no way an infielder could ever be tried in LF.

Sosa must be really, really bad in the OF then. If the Blue Jays put him out there and he at least looks competent I'll join the mob so reserve a pitchfork for me. Until then I'll reserve judgement, because I don't think Sosa can play LF.

Good call

Clinton Cole works for Future Sox/WGN...right?

Did he burn a source to get the Antonacci information out there too quickly?

This is a weird one.

Not like we're talking about Konnor Griffin's debut and/or contract extension.

Sam's basically just the #8 prospect from a #15-20something farm system.

Not like there are hundreds of thousands of hits/views/followers at stake here.

Pereira and Harris the two best outfielders statistically, Hill the best combination of speed/defense/slappiness.

Joy.

regarding the thread title, they never actually called up Antonacci, right? He’s been playing every day in charlotte.

They did not.

Wouldn’t have surprised me if they blew an option just so he could pinch run for a day.

With the hard cap three option limit, it blows my mind how many options we have cycled through on this roster in barely a couple of weeks time, especially on the pitching staff.

I'll update, we were bamboozled.

Son of broken record.

So back to Schultz. Schultz added 40 lbs in the off season.

According to Bannister , "We added back the cutter. The cutter had additional movement, more than it did last year. He changed the grip on his sweeping breaking ball. It's getting better later action right now. "
