Not the strongest outfield in AAA. Oh, that's our MLB outfield.

Kind of amazing that Quero has an OPS of .471. And that it's not the lowest of anyone batting this inning.

Sox find ways to not score

Well time to put Jordan Leasure in

austin hays is a fucking moron

I was under the impression that if you have the ball in your hands you can block to your heart's desire

Yep…just have to knock him into the dugout if that happens (ps, happy Murakami don’t get injured)

The plate was blocked and he still touched home before he was tagged.

too many low average sluggers in the lineup

I don’t think he ever touched home

From MLB: "The catcher is not permitted to block the runner's path to the plate unless he is in possession of the ball." Emphasis mine.

Their guidance further notes that runners are expected to slide and to slide towards any lane provided them by the catcher. If the runner is not sliding to avoid contact they are given less of a presumption that they were blocked.

Quero is lost in space

Please let this be Quero’s last game with the Sox

Well, if that is the correct interpretation of that rule, then the next time a runner completely blasts into the catcher and destroys him, that has to be perfectly okay because the runner has NO other option to get to the plate.

I saw it that way too but Sox colored glasses so thats why I didnt expect it to be reversed

Add him to the “is he even a major league talent” group

EQ hitting with a wet newspaper

I don't seen much point in sending Quero down until Teel returns. Can just ramp up Romo's playing time for the moment.

Right now no. He needs to be sent down.

He and Acuna are taking turns with it.

Winning this one would be good especially going against the Padres. The schedule makers really gave us the middle finger

Collisions aren't prohibited by the rule but the runner is supposed to slide if given any opportunity. If runner "unnecessarily" collides, he's out.

Absolutely needs to go down to take some pressure off and work on some things

1 more 0 Fedde. The seventh is our offenses inning 👍

Yeah it might be good for him to start that process sooner rather than later. For the Sox, I see it as basically an inconvenience to have to bring up e.g. Korey Lee just to need to waive him again in a ~couple weeks.

Quero got gooched there I think
