Luckily still got over half the game to go to overcome a 1 run deficit.

Have you never heard of the reverse jinx!?

And even though Meidroth is in no way , shape or form ,a middle of the order hitter , he's been doing well since he was moved there and has a 9 game hit streak.

  • Love it that opposing teams have to see our 2-4 hitters as very dangerous. Antonacci looking good in that leadoff spot too.

We’re kinda in a Bizzaro World with the Sox starting pitching right now. Schultz and Burke, who were looking just great, both had terrible games; and Kay, who has been rather sucky, comes out and thro

Martin up to the challenge , pitching great.

He's thrown a ton of mistakes. We've fouled them off.

I'm looking at the chart, he has really only thrown the slider in the heart of the zone one time. Has let some fastballs leak in there a bit but he also gave up some loud contact on that.

Lol oh thats what that was ? I love the reverse jinx. You can say negative stuff and when the opposite happens you can take credit for it 😉

How about we swing at the fastballs over the plate?

Another thing to watch for, I suppose: Gilbert has had a huge 3rd time through the order penalty this season. Allowing a 1.200 OPS third time through, basically twice as bad as league average third time through the order. As we are now witnessing, he is superb 2nd time through the order.

Sorry to some… but Kelenic’s time here is ( rightfully ) limited and is most likely his final curtain call in the bigs.

Dude just mowing us down

BULLS move up to the 4th pick through the lottery btw.

why would you not put newcombe in here?

Davis deserves the win

Well s%*#, tha'ts why not, impressive.

Davis starting to rack up more strikeouts. He's easy to root for.

Gilbert is pitching to a big strike zone today

3rd time through and we still haven't timed his off speed.

Gilbert is a top flight pitcher and half the Sox lineup sucks. Don't overthink it, just hope they run into one at some point.

Maybe just work his pitch count to get him out at this point

Martin = ace ! Great pitching !

I'm sure somebody's going to dig out some metric that proves beyond the shadow of a doubt he's not all that, and that Getz should be fired. LOL.

He has to distinguish himself from Peters by slugging and he's not doing it so far. Peters much better at small ball things.

Sox could use a little of that batted ball luck.

Davis Martin a top 5-7 pitcher in baseball at this point, statistically.

Definitely not one of the players to be concerned about after 17 consecutive solid starts.

That's one half of a season, basically.
