May 17May 17 Maybe DH Gonzalez 3 times a week, 2B 1-2 times and SS 1 time to give Colson a break once a week too.

He's basically making high-end reliever money. They can cut him.

I am still skeptical it's anything more than a fluke but maybe he would at least have some trade value if we don't have room for him in the infield.

Even better, why in the world is he not on the big club?In most circumstances, #1 pick 3 years ago raking like this in AAA would have a ton of value. It's almost like "Oh heck, he's good, now what do we do?" Well, accept the prize.Iriarte might be a call-up candidate soon. He walks too many, but he's in his 6th year in the minors. Edited May 18May 18 by GreenSox

I agree with what you're saying though. A 23 year old 1st round pick shortstop leading AAA in home runs and a 1.061 OPS. If he performed better in previous years, we're looking at easily a top 100 guy, maybe top 50. Hell, Braden Montgomery is 23 years old and just made it to AAA. He's ranked the #24 prospect in baseball. At what point does he regain his trade value? Edited May 18May 18 by ron883
May 18May 18 Nishida quietly hitting .363 with .890 ops at AAA from leadoff spot. 13 sbs this year at 2 levels. Good 11th round pick

May 18May 18 Has Gonzalez had any run in the OF? Would think a SS could transition to the OF some. I don't think he comes up unless we need him. I am not sure who he replaces and not sit on the bench. You could DH him but Benintendi is finding his stride and I think they like his vet presence in the lineup
