Today he's throwing some sliders that are getting classed as cutters as well but I assume when he's throwing backdoor it's not a slider. But a bunch of 88-90 pitches with way more drop and sweep than his cutter usually has. As far as the true cutter, I don't know why he doesn't throw it inside to righties more often...that's the pairing you want with the barrage of inside sinkers.

Thankfully this is the last west coast trip this year. They need to get out of there. The last 4 games have not been inspiring. Seems like a lot of the problems from the last three years have crept back in.

they don't have the pitching to compete with anyone except bottom feeders unless they're crushing bombs on a daily basis

Starting to be concerned with this upcoming 4 game series with the Twins! They’re heating up and the Sox are cooling off!

We just do not have enough pitching to compete realistically
