Meidroth would be a better SS than Gonzalez. I think probably the most sensible thing to do would be to play Gonzo at 3B or even consider 1B, which he did for a bit in AAA this year.

I blame the Sox complete stupidity and insanity of starting colson at third while he's playing elite shortstop for the absurd scenarios being proposed by fans for him to move off the position permanently so chase meidroth can play there.

best case a super minor tweak and he's back as a DH in a few days.
