What in the f*** are you talking about? I watch every game and I’m also not some dinosaur who doesn’t understand how basic statistics like BABIP work. This isn’t very hard pal…Peters a has a .378 BA

The pitchers coming up through the system all have great stuff, but have no idea where it's going.

You could see this coming with all the long outs in his debut. He’s not MLB ready

He definitely looks like he needs a bit more seasoning. I really wish they push Mason Adams a little bit harder given all our pitching injuries. He was basically major league roster before his injury, so really just needs to build up some innings and get the rust off.

If you have been watching games....since Opening Day, you might not agree with"regression" from Peters. It's entirely the opposite of that. Now what are you saying about me?

Sandlin not off to the best start in his career.

But it is in the top three.

A lot of Peters' game is hitting seeing eye grounders in huge situations. It's great. But I don't think that's a skill you can just keep doing. Unless he's Ichiro, that's not something you can just keep doing over a whole season.

Incorrect.

David Sandlin got thrown off by this "opener" nonsense. Pitchers are creatures of habit. He got totally screwed by it. Get it together, Will.

Do you know what "regression" means? It's not a putdown of Peters to say he's playing above his underlying metrics. I'd bet he's not going to be a 5-WAR, .800 OPS player going forward. Right now he looks like an average major leaguer (2 WAR) on a heater. That's good.

Neither team was challenging much at the plate yesterday either, but I thought maybe it was because the HP ump was so ripped that they were intimidated

Those inside fastballs with that movement right have to be tough for Sam with how close he stands to the plate.

He's most likely a 4th outfielder, but he's earned his playing time for sure.

At this point in his career, Sandlin's "habit" is back to back, 4-run innings.

Who beats him out in CF?

The good thing is that those hip sinkers from a righty are very tough to spot. Probably why more pitchers haven't done it to him.

Right now? No one. Maybe Montgomery snags some playtime there when he comes up, but there's no one in the organization that's going to take his spot this year.

What in the f*** are you talking about? I watch every game and I’m also not some dinosaur who doesn’t understand how basic statistics like BABIP work. This isn’t very hard pal…Peters a has a .378 BABIP. The highest BABIP in a full season since COVID is .376. If you think Peters is going to post the highest BABIP in baseball over the past six years, especially given his minor league profile, then you aren’t a serious poster. In the future, please keep your little pout fests in the 78 thread.

Thank you. I love Peters, but the batted ball luck will normalize to some extent at some point.

His OAA metrics in CF is absolutely elite and Getz values defense and speed. Peters isn't going to be displaced anytime soon and whatever his bat provides is gravy.

Love that metric.

About as angry as you are about ingress/egress at the proposed 78 stadium

Good inning, let's score again on Nola before he's pulled

I just deal in facts that are inconvenient for some people.
