I say this over and over. I don’t give a s%*# who the announcers are. If the Sox win that day, whoever it was were the best announcers in the world.

The reality is that if Ramirez and Martinez had been playing this series, the Sox would be on there way to being swept.

I mean the reality is we took at least 2/3 and did the job. Today aside.

Great job by Eisert who, contrary to popular opinion, is kind of hard to hit.

Lol Eisert holds them right there

It was a brutal throw. Either need to be all the way or a long hop

Still struggling with the throwing aspects...more often than not runners have taken extra bases as a result.

Margin is quite thin in these games...just can't afford to give 2-3 extra runs due to defense.

Oh come on MLB catchers make that play 9/10.

Still not where you want that throw to be

It's only 2. Maybe being down will wake them up a bit.

Sure but it was on line, at this level the rest is on the catcher.

Colson’s defense has us losing and Eisert’s pitching kept us in it. Baseball.

Teel catch 50/50 probably...

Surely he'd say he should have made it.

Takes some time coming back after almost three months off to get back timing/reflexes.

I’m thinking they need to send Gonzalez down after this game. Anyone on the 40 they can flip?

It’s a Sox catcher. They’ve been dropping plays at the plate for decades.

I don't think that was remotely a 90% play at the plate. Not a play that required an amazing job to get it done, but that mitt is not designed to make that kind of play which is why you'll see those kinds of plays very frequently not made in various ways. I also don't think it was a real bad throw by Antonacci as it was basically on line and while he should be thinking about whether he can get it on the fly or get it on a decent long hop, it's just not that easy to be precise in all three dimensions.

Yes the AAA merchant needs to be sent down

Apropos of nothing, I think if this team had a .350 winning percentage, Vasil would be in the hospital

A vet catcher comes up the line for the swipe tag. But hey, let the kids learn.

Yep.

f*** the wizard, you clowns…

Cade Smith should be available for the Guards, and getting to him twice in a series seems like a tough ask

Wizard stuff is fine on the field..the broadcast needs to let it breathe though

Need to find a journeyman 1B like an Elko type for two weeks.

Nishida doesn't fit current roster.

Quero wasn't hitting enough to justify 1B/DH role, either.

Bibee is pitching his ass off

This has been pathetic
