Romo cannot be on this roster after the all-star break.

Great post and spot-on. Also, this series confirmed a couple of important things: Junior Perez is not part of the solution against LHP and should be sent down when Murakami is activated (and ahead of

If we turn around and sweep the A's I will forgive this sucky series. We have to go to Toronto to start the 2nd half and that never goes well

Its July 9, 2026. The team is still in first place. Other than myself I don't think many fans thought they would be in first place at this date.

It's a double edged sword.

Yes, they are in first place but they are only two games over .500, have lost six of their last eight and look very much out of synch right now. 15 hits, total in the past three games.

And with things so balanced across MLB fewer and fewer teams right now are going to be selling making getting the pitching help the Sox badly need more difficult.

That's 11 of 13 for the Red Sox who I'm guessing won't be selling off Gray and Chapman.

Getting Murikami back will help.

The Sox need to get their heads out of their asses, win the A's series and go into the break with a little momentum

Well right now the only place they've been going is down the toilet.

They have made some good defensive plays against us. To me, that's bad luck.

Were you saying that after the 4-3 road trip?

Defense/speed doesn't slump.

Boston is a great defensive team. That’s not luck.

In Lip’s defense, he’s very consistent in his party poopage.

No I was very happy they rebounded in Cleveland the way they did.

But it's "what have you done for me lately" and they blew chances to increase the lead. It's actually now a four team race in a mediocre division.

And they've lost 13 of their last 22 games, that's not a good sign.

The issues surrounding the club are becoming more apparent as the season goes along. We'll see what Getz may be able to do, or allowed to do to help matters.

I figure he’s moreso calling it poor batted ball luck than saying Boston got lucky by making the plays.

The White Sox catcher room was expected to be a major offensive weapon. Instead, it's one of the worst in baseball. It's cost us quite a few wins despite the Quero walk-off vs Cubs. So frustrating and confounding!

Prior to the start of the season you were predicting another 100 losses. But the issues are more apparent now they are over .500 more than halfway through? Holy goalpost Batman

Had you told me 6 weeks ago we’d still be in this spot despite not having Mune, I would take it every single time.

That’s not to say he’s going to be a miracle worker, but getting back your most impactful hitter is a big deal.

Have you see how bad they are at challenging, according to the metrics?

Look I'm happy they aren't an embarrassment (although we still have a half season to go remember) and I never predicted they'd lose 100 I said it was possible (and bet you 30 dollars on it) but now that they are being competitive in a mediocre division let's remember, they have an opportunity and aren't taking advantage of it.

Put it this way, will you be happy if at the end of the year they win 70 games but weren't able to finish things and put themselves in post season play?

That's the dilemma for the fan base.

They weren't supposed to be in this position in the first place, but here we are... now they need to take advantage of it. That's what is frustrating.

When the season is over, they will have improved on last year’s 61 wins, but they will be the 4th place team in this division.

People are so hysterical and short sided. Jesus.

Your point is?

Some people just need to understand that when you have a young up and coming team you’re going to have growing pains and lulls that require patience.

There isn’t a reason to panic and never has been… just like there isn’t any reason to expect them to win the World Series this year.

People need to back away from the ledge, take a breath, and calm to f*** down.

What could the 2026 White Sox do to become "an embarrassment?"
