I’ll be shocked if he isn’t up midway through next year or to start 28 at the very latest.

He will give better defense at short than Colson so you’ll see Colson and Vargas move before you’ll see Roch at second IMO.

Likely opens up a trade.

Yeah, didn't it turn out the allegations were bogus? With how damn good he was around the time it happened, I'm surprised he didn't get another shot. He's definitely "unofficially" blackballed.

With the lockout coming and the possibility of missed games or the season the Sox may keep him and all the top prospects in the minors to at least be playing and gaining experience.

What I don't know is if the labor situation will also cause minor league games to be shut down sine now those players are also being represented by the MLBPA.

The Teel injury just underlines what we all already know: in sports, you’re always one play away from next man up. I am confident that if Cholowsky proves he’s ready, the opportunity will present itself. Maybe not as quick as he’d like, but either trades or injuries or poor performance will open the door for him. You can never have too many good players.

Yea, in my case the media actually disregarded my testimony completely and did no research as well. They ignored certain things and omitted others just so that the situation could fit their predetermined byline.

When police reports and investigations as well as state sponsors investigations come out on the side of truth - it’s really messed up when courts and media outlets toss them in the trash and just trust someone’s words.

Especially when you’re able to demonstrate an existing pattern of deception with malicious intent.

California family law courts and the NGO funded media outlets are garbage.

He was beating the s%*# out of women during sex, who cares if it's "consensual" it's barbaric and weird. One of his accusers also still has a pending case. I dunno about you, but four to five different women have never sued me for sexual assault. This isn't a thing that happens to most people including rich and famous athletes.

He also sucks at baseball. His teammate last year Anthony Kay posted a 1.74 ERA in 155 IP to Bauer's 4.51 ERA in 133.2. Bauer has translated that performance to a 4.86 ERA in Mexico. How do those bad stats translate to MLB? He did have a 2.36 ERA playing against guys who flamed out of single-A, so maybe that's something.

It's baffling that a non-zero amount of people want a bad baseball player on the team exclusively because he's 'blackballed' for assaulting women. It's weird, frankly. Like what a hill to die on. Maybe if he wasn't complete garbage at baseball, but he is. I'm sure the primary reason he's not in MLB is because he's bad and has a reputation of being a terrible teammate in addition to the beating up women part.

So much of this is a narrative that was blown out of proportion by the media, contradicts police reports, and includes some of the women injuring themselves as a part of setting him up.

It seems like you’re only interested in one side of the events - a side that has not only been proven in court but also involved successful counter suits.

Again - this is not true. His reputation is being a great teammate. The guy put himself in a really dumb spot on all of this is on his own shoulders. If anyone thinks he wouldn’t have been a frontline starter, the Dodgers had 50 million dollars that spoke differently. His performance in a few different leagues and his pitching knowledge tells me he could be serviceable.

The only reasons he hasn’t been given a shot is the PR and liability nightmare that would be involved. Before he steps on the field, the media would have to expose themselves and the league by reporting his story in full which would expose those parties to damage suits.

This is just one of those situations where two people have two completely different points of view and we’ll never agree… so there is no point in trying to reason any further.

One final thing… no, I haven’t been accused of sexually abusing four or five women… but I do have an exwife that accused me of that along with other completely false allegations like kidnapping my own son, forcing her to lose weight, controlling her ability to leave the house… all sorts of complete nonsense that was investigated by local police ( without any truth found ), DPFS ( also without any findings ), and yet a liberal California judge in the same court Bauer stood found me to be guilty and handed custody of my son for three years to a completely unstable women that went on to abuse him.

The worst thing I ever did in my former marriage was raise my voice to step between her and my son when she was abusing him in front of me.

But family law courts don’t tend to believe white men with a beard and tattoos - they seem to believe women that are capable of mobilizing institutions and advocates.

After the hearings she went to the media and even though I provided them with the findings of the police and DCFS, they reported her side only.

If I had Bauers resources, I could have had remedy with counter suits and appeals but just to cover that much, I had already spend six figures.

My life was already ruined, my ability to be a father was already gutted, and I had nothing.

I don’t think you understand how biased and manipulative the media and unstable women with motives can be.
