Our equivalent would have been something like Fauske, Bergolla, and Jedixson Paez

When pitchers had to hit, they would bat ninth and would always bunt if a runner was at first or second with less than two outs, because they were automatic outs and this way the pitcher could at least do something productive. This is exactly what the Sox need to do with Romo when he is in the lineup.

Yeah he's out of options. There's definitely some stuff to like about him. He's got raw pop and showed that prior to his injury. He's also got a really good arm.

Gary Peters sometimes batted 7th or 8th and pinch hit many times,

15 pitches through 2. That dog will hunt.
