2 hours ago2 hr Interesting. Feels like the inning limit stuff may not be so pressing then, although the Sox are likely trying to add another SP.
2 hours ago2 hr If Schultz was where they want him to be, he would’ve been moved to the pen to extend his value this season before hitting his IP limit. That they’re willing to burn those remaining innings in the rotation through a handful more starts screams that they’re more concerned with development than 2026 impact, imo. A good thing for the future but sort of a damning take on where their current evaluation of him is at. All speculation, of course, but Fedde has far and away been the better starter the last month or two.

Best at this point is to let it play out, at least until the end of the trade deadline, and maybe even until Schultz has another start. Noah came within one bad pitch of keeping the game scoreless which could have put that game into extra innings. As Plesac commented, Noah was very aggressive in the strike zone when he had to be. You can teach some pitchers how to grip and throw a baseball, but you can't teach the leverage he has from his 6'10" frame.
1 hour ago1 hr Has anyone associated with the White Sox stated that Noah has an innings limit and what that limit is?

After yesterday’s start, he’s at 88ip this season. Even if you stretch him to 120, that’s only 5-6 more starts.
