Thought it was weird he came back out after a lot of loud outs last inning. Still feels weird that he's out there after a couple loud non-outs in this inning.

Brazo giving up some smashes.

sinker isn't doing s%*#, didn't last inning either

this is where our bullpen always shits the bed, when they gotta pitch in leverage situations

Good thing Gleyber is slow.

They absolutely rushed Taylor into this game. They gotta stop doing that s%*#.

😬

Easy to see why Detroit is so high on Clark.

At least Taylor gets a clean slate here. Don’t mind that as much.

I don't think we had to use Grant in this game. Suffering a bit here from an increasingly left-handed bullpen.

I know the logic is to get the top of the order here. But you might have to get them out again in the 9th.

Me too, Urquidy was better than I expected

Urquidy saved the day so far. I thought that we would get into a shootout with Urquidy coming in, but alas he kept the Tigers pretty much at bay. It has helped that our bats have woken up.

Never play Doyle ahead of Sam.

Will is too formulaic. He doesn’t like lefty- lefty matchups.

I’d rather have Taylor close it out then come in during the 7th…

I understand why Grant comes in now if you're using him because it's the top of the order. But I think Brazo came in too soon, which brought us here because now he's hit out of the game in the 7th inning.

LETS GO GRANT. 1 pitch… one out

Im so confused by the bullpen management

The food is no good and the portions are too small is what I'm saying

It was to hopefully stop the rally if Torres got on

He’s thinking he wants to use him against the meat of the tigers lineup. I get it and I get your thoughts as well.

Will is not a master of bullpen management.

Crazy that we went from TLR only using his closer in save situations to using our closer in the 7th inning.

Not necessarily. If they go three up three down for the 8th and 9th, last out of the game will be Clark.

At least that went so quick that it's easier to get him to a second inning without having to give him two days off afterwards. I will admit that I'm worried that Grant has been overused and might burn out, though.

Old school v new school in a nutshell

Bullpen isn't going to hold up...whether you blame it on Venable, Getz, etc.

Seems to be pitching to contact more

He's definitely overused. His stuff now is nowhere near what it was earlier in the year.

That would be nice!
