Gave up a run in the first on a leadoff bunt single, stolen base with no throw then a 77 mph single over 2nd. In the 5th he gave up a single, then grazed a guy then another softish single.

Wednesday at 11:17 AM4 days Thorpe threw better than the line looked, after watching his outing. I won’t be shocked either way if they want to see another start or if he’s starting for the Sox on Sunday. Likely depends most on how other variables shake out in the coming days.Only discouraging things were the lower velo and him not going at least 5.Encouraging things, continues to get swing and miss while only facing soft contact.

He does vary his fastball velo is seems. Probably has to because its not overwhelming. Still had a 40% whiff rate on the change up. Edited Wednesday at 05:13 PM3 days by CBJ03
