They lost cause Bazardo didn't turn around to tag the 2nd guy coming home on his wild pitch.

White Sox would be first team to make playoffs off two consecutive 100 loss seasons...Ofc the new record will/would be three seasons, barely.

Excellent. We can't lose either way, although we are 100% rooting for the Jays.

Damn KC is on some kind of heater. Thankfully the Sox don't play them for a few weeks and hopefully they have cooled off by then.

KC being a Royal pain in the ass for Cleveland and I'm loving it.

Mets are up 4-2 on the Astros

If KC isn't eliminated by the time we play them, then we're doing something wrong.

IIRC they could also be the first team to lose 100+ and then win a division the following season?

I endorse that plan

They already have won the most games of any team following a 100 loss season in baseball history.

According to MLB's research, the Royals are just the second team to ever appear in the postseason in a full season a year after losing 100 or more games. The other team to accomplish that feat? The 2017 Minnesota Twins. (The Miami Marlins also did it in the COVID-shortened 2020 season.)

And all three times in the AL Central haha.

At least it's not the AL West!!!

They've won the most after 3 (or more) 100+ loss seasons, but absolutely not after 1.

Even within the last few years, Baltimore won 91 in 2024 after losing 101 in 2023.

Ahh ok.

So, I hear for tomorrow Hicks is the opener with Urquidy to follow.

He's been much better as a bulk reliever. That last start was ugly.

Robert placed on waivers.

Cleveland loses. 4.5 games up.

He's a big upgrade over Doyle and can give Montgomery some days off against lefties. If there's no locker room issue and his relationship with the FO is fine I think they should do it.
