FFS. We gonna waste hicks for a batter?

Plan is probably for him to face the bottom of the order.

this org hasn't had that mindset since probably 2008

That's gonna bite us in the ass if the Sox make it to the postseason. Now you're facing better starting rotations and bullpens, you have be able to manufacture runs because you're not going to crank out homers at the same pace as in the regular season vs average to below average pitching. The 05 Sox were balanced on offense, had pop but could also execute situational hitting.

Tbh, teams that hit the most home runs in the playoffs win.

Come on Jordan!

Yup, home runs win in the playoffs because stringing together hits is hard against good pitching. It's easier to make one mistake than to make 3.

One of this team's issues is that they aren't good against elite pitching.

poor defensive positioning but most likely pitch execution by Hicks didn't have a prayer to dive for that

I see we were gifted a lead off double and our big 2-3-4 hitters did nothing. I would say I am surprised but I am use to it

Yeah nothing Colson can do with the 2 groundball singles we gave up. The positioning and pitch selection/execution aren't matching up

which is why Lowe Adell really deepen that CLE lineup now

Kwan going good DeLauter Bazzana Ramirez etc.

was watching the WS again last week, that Konerko opposite field single in the 3rd inning was just chefs kiss, Rodriguez was pitching him away the entire AB, so Paulie just sat on one and chucked it over the 2B

Feel like Colson would have swung at those first 3 pitches a week ago

Uh ok lol

lol. I'll take it. Actually am not sure that was a strike.

It was. Colson nearly screwed that up by trying to complain about the call first.

Just had a piece according to gameday

Let’s see if we can move the runners over.

Well that was unfortunate. Peters killed that.

Braden's AB was perfection, every single pitch he was thinking wait back and then try to hit it, he has really good ABs just needs to fix his swing

of course it bounced right to him

Peters did it. Now score the runs.

great job by Tristan. Unlucky not get a hit.

Don’t try to do too much Teel.
